Datnioides campbelli(New Guinea Tigerfish)

A spectacular fish with alternating charcoal grey and green-gold bands. There is also a golden stripe running down the front of the fish from the dorsal fin to the tip of the snout.

Fish information (behaviour and breeding):

An aggressive, territorial fish that is best kept as a single specimen in a large brackish water aquarium. Some specimens will tolerate large, peaceful tankmates, but it is probably best to ensure that the tigerfish is the last fish placed in the aquarium. Anything added subsequently may be viewed with less tolerance than existing tankmates.
